The Committee for the Promotion of Latin (CPL), a standing committee of CAMWS, was established in 1979 to create new Latin programs, to expand existing Latin programs, and to assist students of Latin in receiving in the greatest benefits from their study of Classics. The CPL consists of a Chair and several other members appointed by the President of CAMWS. It works closely with the Regional and State/Provincial Vice-Presidents.
Robert W. Cape, Jr., the chair of the Committee for the Promotion of Latin, can be reached at cpl@camws.org.
Much of the material on these pages comes from earlier versions of the CPL website created by previous CPL Chairs Tom Sienkewicz and Ginny Lindzey. Tom Sienkewicz continues to maintain this useful site; Keely Lake is the webmaster of www.promotelatin.org.
