Alan N. Houghton
He taught me at Pine Point School, in Stonington CT. I later realized that his fascinating repertoire of stories drew on Martial, Juvenal, and others, but at the time I didn’t care about this – I was too entranced by his depiction of the ancient city of Rome. And look where it drew me!
