Please note that an application must be complete (including all letters of recommendation) for a candidate to receive an award. The subcommittee may read and rank incomplete files, but no incomplete file may receive the award. Please try to include as many of your materials as possible with this on-line application, as you will be able to submit it only once. Recommendations

Your recommenders must include one of your former college classics faculty with knowledge of your performance and promise while you were in school. Your other two recommenders must be two individuals who have held supervisory roles in your teaching career and can address your more recent activities, classroom effectiveness, contributions, and potential. The individuals you list as recommenders will receive emails informing them of your request, but you should also contact them personally to make sure that they receive this email. Once a letter of recommendation is submitted on your behalf, you will be notified via email. As the deadline approaches, please do not hesitate to remind your recommenders if you do not receive such confirmation. Please remember that award recipients must have complete files.
