Update from the Editors:
Dear friends of the classics,
We, the editorial board of Philomathes: the online undergraduate journal of research in Classics, learned yesterday from a young man attempting to submit an essay that our website submission form was broken and submitting was thus not possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. Therefore, we would like to extend the deadline for submission of papers for the 2019 issue of Philomathes to December 1, 2018 to accommodate any problems this may have caused.
For submissions, instead of using the online form at www.apsu.edu/philomathes, please have your students send submissions to my email address (kershners@apsu.edu) with a clear "philomathes submission" subject line.
Thank you for your patience and your continued support for this project.
The Classics program at Austin Peay State University is pleased to invite submissions for the third volume of Philomathes: An Online Journal of Undergraduate Research in Classics. This refereed on-line journal publishes original research projects carried out by undergraduate students in any area of Classics. Submissions are welcome from current undergraduates and those who have recently completed their undergraduate education (within one year of graduation). The deadline for submissions for the next issue is Friday, November 16, 2018 with a publication date scheduled for May 2019.
Undergraduate research has become a prime component of university study in Classics as in other disciplines. We are excited to provide an opportunity to recognize some of the best in undergraduate research. Please see the web site, https://www.apsu.edu/philomathes/, for information on publication policies and submission guidelines, as well as previous issues of the journal.
