Remembering a Black Classicist

The Spring 2019 issue of the Oberlin Alumni Magazine (http://www2.oberlin.edu/alummag/spring2019/) includes an interview of CAMWS consularis Michele Valerie Ronnick (Wayne State University) on the subject of William Sanders Scarborough, the 19th-century African American classicist who graduated from Oberlin College and served as President of Wilberforce University. Ronnick has recently published a facsimile of the 1881 First Edition of Scarborough's First Lessons in Greek (Bolchazy-Carducci, 2019).
