EC Approves Proposal for a new award named for Dr. Anthony Fauci

CAMWS Members Thomas Sienkewicz and Kenneth Kitchell recently submitted a proposal to create a new CAMWS award to support students who combine the study of science and classics, just as Dr. Anthony Fauci himself combined the study of Greek and science.  After Kitchell and Sienkewicz secured permission from Dr. Fauci to use his name for the award, the Executive Committee approved the creation of the award.  Sienkewicz and Kitchell have each pledged $500 to begin funding the award, and it was determined that this year's auction proceeds will be dedicated to supporting this award.  Details of the requirements and the committee which will oversee the award will be determined after the meeting.
