Iter Musaicum Washingtonianum (Paideia Institute)

The National Gallery of Art
Saturday, March 18th, 2017
11 am - 2 pm

The Paideia Institute and the Center for Hellenic Studies invite high school and college students to experience Latin as a living language in Washington DC while exploring the National Gallery of Art. Participants will compete in small teams to complete a Latin scavenger hunt in the museum. Paideia staff members will be stationed throughout the museum to introduce participants to specific works of art and engage participants in Latin conversation. The winning team will receive prizes to be announced on the day!

No prior training in Latin is necessary and students at all levels of Latin are welcome. Latin teachers and professors are encouraged to attend with their students to experience the event and learn about active Latin pedagogy.

This event is co-sponsored by the Paideia Institute and the Center for Hellenic Studies and free for all participants. Click below to learn more more information and register for the event!
