Use this application form to submit an abstract for the Undergraduate Poster Session at the annual CAMWS meeting. A monetary prize will be awarded to the undergraduate who gives the best presentation of an outstanding poster. The winner of this prize will be announced at the Annual CAMWS Business Meeting.
ABSTRACT GUIDELINES: Abstracts must include sufficient information for reviewers to judge the nature and significance of the topic, the adequacy of the investigative strategy, the nature of the results, and the conclusions. The abstract should summarize the substantive results of the work and not merely list topics to be discussed. You MUST also include a description of the layout of the poster you intend to present. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words, formatted according to the guidelines for all CAMWS Submissions. Abstracts highlight major points of your research and explain why your work is important; what your purpose was, how you went about your project, what you learned, and what you concluded.
Be sure that you have consulted these Formatting Guidelines for CAMWS Submissions before submitting the abstract for your poster presentation. Note that you should submit only an abstract, not the finished poster or complete presentation. After submitting the application you will receive an email confirmation.
NOTA BENE: Undergraduate students submitting a poster abstract must receive the endorsement of their professor to be considered by the Program Committee. Be sure to discuss this submission with your professor in advance and let the professor know that, upon submission of this abstract, he or she will automatically receive an email message requesting such endorsement.
